Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about booking and enjoying a weekly yacht charter.
Booking & Reservations
For peak season (July–August in the Mediterranean) we recommend booking 6–12 months ahead. Off-season charters can often be arranged 2–4 weeks in advance, and last-minute deals are sometimes available.
You share your preferences with us, we send a curated selection of yachts, you choose your favourite, sign the charter agreement, and pay the deposit. We then handle all pre-charter coordination with the crew and captain.
A 50 % deposit secures your booking. The remaining balance is due 6–8 weeks before embarkation. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards.
Cancellation terms are outlined in the charter agreement. Typically, cancellations made more than 8 weeks before departure receive a partial refund. We always recommend trip-cancellation insurance for full protection.
Pricing & Costs
The base charter fee covers the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and use of on-board amenities and water toys. Meals prepared by the on-board chef are typically included on crewed charters.
An Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) of 20–30 % is standard and covers fuel, marina fees, provisions, and gratuities. Any unspent APA is refunded at the end of the charter.
Weekly charters start from approximately €1,000 for a bareboat sailing yacht and can exceed €200,000+ per week for a luxury mega yacht with full crew. Our team will find the best option within your budget.
Life on Board
Not at all. Crewed charters come with a professional captain and crew who handle all navigation and sailing. You simply sit back and enjoy. Bareboat charters do require a valid sailing licence.
Days are completely flexible. A common rhythm includes a leisurely breakfast, sailing to a new bay, swimming and water sports, a gourmet lunch on board, exploring a coastal village in the afternoon, and a sunset dinner — either on deck or ashore.
Absolutely. Before your charter you fill out a preference sheet detailing dietary needs, allergies, favourite cuisines, and beverage preferences. The chef provisions accordingly.
Most charter yachts carry snorkelling gear, kayaks, paddleboards, and towable inflatables. Larger yachts often have jet skis, water skis, wakeboards, diving equipment, and sea bobs.
Destinations & Itineraries
We specialise in the Mediterranean — Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, and the French Riviera — as well as the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Our destination guides provide detailed information on each region.
Yes, the itinerary is entirely flexible. Your captain will suggest the best route based on weather, winds, and your interests, but the final decision is always yours. Want to linger at a beautiful bay? No problem.
The Mediterranean season runs from May to October, with peak months in July and August. The Caribbean is best from November to April. Shoulder seasons (May–June, September–October) offer excellent weather with fewer crowds.
Practical Information
We can arrange airport transfers, helicopter transfers, or water taxis to bring you directly to the marina or yacht. Embarkation is usually in the afternoon, and disembarkation the following week in the morning.
